For three years the K Bar had been gradually infringing on Slash B range. It came to a halt with three dead men; two by the gun of Nick Evans, son of Will Evans, who ran the Slash B. They said Nick was gunslick; a murderer, although the shooting had been three to one in their odds. The townsmen, led by the flashy, silver-tongued attorney, Jeffrey Dixon, met him with guns and forced him out of town and warned him never to return.
In his absence Nick became a deputy US Marshal, working undercover for the renown US Marshal, Mort Hall. The deadly guns of the outlaw, Jonas Lawrence came close to salting him away, not to mention the other assignments in which he walked a tightrope on the razor edge of death.
It had been almost three years since his departure, then Mort sent him to Silver Hills, back to his home town to apprehend the vicious outlaw, Clem Fletcher and his gang of cutthroats who were planning on robbing the bank.
Nick was planning on returning anyhow for he still loved the woman who ran Brook’s Hat & Dress Shop. The question was, would Pam Brooks still be waiting?
